The Black Crowes Catch Up

Just read a hysterically funny article: apparently the Black Crowes are lashing out at Maxim for a disparaging review of their latest cd - which the critic never heard, as there were no advance copies. Maxim admits it was an "educated guess".

What's funny is not that Maxim reviewed a cd they never heard, but that the Black Crowes are so outraged about it. This is news to them? Critics have been reviewing cd's they never heard, movies they've never seen, books they've never read and concerts they never attended for decades. Occasionally you find a rare bird who actually takes his or her job seriously but the vast majority of them don't and never have. They either just copy each other verbatim or make stuff up.

Welcome to the real world, Crowes - the rest of us have been living with this b.s. for decades. And you all just noticed it? Why else do you think that NO ONE takes critics seriously?
